Look Way Up

I was feeling a little anxious this morning, it hasn’t been the easiest week, and I needed a little “green time”.  I took a couple of hours and walked around Lost Lagoon and checked out the heron colony.  (there were TONS of photographers out there with me.  I had minor lens envy.  🙂 ) I was so excited to see two swans nesting, and when they stood up….3 eggs.  Spring has truly arrived.  And by the time I had returned to my car, the world just seemed a whole lot better.  I did get caught in gridlock traffic on the way home (so much for the zen.  LOL), took a few shots from the car while I didn’t move, and tonight, we had Easter Dinner at our place with Cousin Helen.  I had some dollar store chickens and moss in our deck containers that made my hilarious centerpiece, you won’t see that on Pinterest any time soon,  we had a rabbit cake for dessert, because really, no long weekend is complete without one (HA!) and I flipped Helen and Dennis into black and white because the colour of the original was a bit “off”.  Enjoy shots from my day…..

I love how you captured all of the photographers – that is a really neat series. Happy Easter to you and Dennis (and NEVA, of course!).

    Catching up!

Wow those swan eggs are pretty cool, usually there’s always one on the nest.

I’m happy to say that we are supposed to have great Spring weather next weekend and I am going to walk Bella one of her regular rounds, it seems she’s ready for it. Just in time to capture all Spring flowers, trees and baby animals 🙂
