Things that made me hmmmm today….

…include sushi eating seagulls, funky clouds, random pottery drying in the sun, blooms, the first ladybug of 2016, my little Legoman, and some pigeons when I was downtown.  What made you go “hmmm” today?

Scenes from the Day

Just a photo dump from today….I saw lots of blossoms, birds doing what birds do, starfish being less enthusiastic about being eaten by the birds (HA), dogs, cats, clouds and assorted bits and pieces.  Enjoy…

That’s the way the wind blows….

I’m catching up shots from yesterday and today.  Yesterday, over in Victoria, there was a HUGE windstorm.  My Mom and I did a little storm watching and took some windy, blustery pictures.  These photos don’t really do justice, it was wind like I’d never felt before.  (and it was amazing!)   We also saw some…

Flyers, Walkers and hilarious yams

How’s THAT for a title?  🙂  Hi from my Mom’s house in Victoria.  I’m just going to do a quick photo dump tonight, including shots from the ferry ride this morning, animals and birds that I saw, a very odd shaped yam, some scenery at Gordon Point, and the fortune from my Chinese dinner tonight. …

Blooms and Birds

I hit the photo jackpot on my lunchtime walk.  I saw gorgeous spring blossoms, a big pile of funky mushrooms, an eagle, seagulls in good light and one eating a starfish.  Jackpot for me indeed….but not so much for the starfish!  Have a great weekend everyone!

Colourful Day to try and stay awake

Today’s photos include a colourful sunrise, spring blooms, dogs, a random heart on a leaf, a sign that is clearly ignored, and Neva and a heron both trying very hard to stay awake.  Neither succeeded.  Pleasant dreams…to them, and to all.

Rainy blooms

Not many photos to share today.  It’s a bit late, we had to take Neva to the vet tonight.  She’ll be FINE…but just getting her little ducks in a row to ensure she stays healthy.  Does this look like a distressed kitty?  (not so much!  Thank goodness)  Here is her photo from today, and some…

Eagle Eyes

Before I ran a few errands and got to housework, I went for a quick walk near Coal Harbour, then stopped at Kits Point, where I saw a regatta, and a very talon-y eagle.   (good word!?)   Very excited too to see my first bee of the year.  Spring truly is on it’s way….

Look up, look WAY up…….

I had originally planned to go to Victoria and see my Mom this weekend, but plans have changed and I’ll be there next weekend instead.  We were lucky to have a sunny day, so I ventured down to Stanley Park, because I saw on the news that there is a HUGE colony of herons nesting…

Sunrise, photoshoot, spring and art

Today’s sunrise was GORGEOUS!  We are very lucky to have a deck that we can enjoy sunrises and views of North Vancouver.  Neva was taking in the view of the hummingbirds at our feeder, and also became mesmerized by our solar dancing sumo wrestler (long story!).  On my walk to work I saw spring blooms,…

Back to the routine

My routine was much more “normal” today.  The first photo (taken out of my boss’ window) shows why I didn’t walk at lunchtime.  The second shows the sun coming out this afternoon and the photos after that were taken on my walk home.  I took the long/pretty way home past the bird pond.  Amazing how…

Life gets in the way sometimes….

It has been an odd couple of days here in the land of lens3.  Life got a little in the way of photos and blogging….hopefully tomorrow will be a more normal day for me. In the meantime, I will just share a photo of a hummingbird with very visible feet, and Neva with her new…
