Treatment Day

I had my first physio appointment today.  I’m VERY hopeful my wrist is on the mend.  It is a bit sore now, from the massages, stretching, and I also had Intramuscular Stimulation with the little “acupuncture-like” needles.  Fun times!   So, today will be hopefully the last for a while “mini post” featuring my Photo…

Challenge pics….

Happy Thursday to all.  It was a HOT one here in Vancouver today.  I went for a mini, camera-less walk anyway but will share the shots I’ve posted on my photo a day sites…. The prompt for 365 Photo is “Pretty Things”……. It is still “water” theme at 365 Days in Nature….I posted this photo…

A couple of recovery days

I’m looking forward to Friday.  Why?  I have an appointment that morning with a Physiotherapist.  I’ve been a bit in denial for a while, but I have minor carpel tunnel syndrome, have been wearing a wrist brace, but am finally waving the white towel and will go and get some treatment.  In the big scheme…

Sunset Picnic

It was a beautiful day here in Vancouver.  I was busy during the day, so didn’t go for a walk at lunchtime. Tonight though, Dennis and I went and got some fresh air with a picnic on the beach.   We just grabbed a takeout shawarma, and sat and watched the sunset.  It was lovely….

Sunday and Monday shots

Back home in Vancouver, and I have some shots from the last couple of days to share.  Yesterday, my Mom and I celebrated my Dad’s birthday and celebrated him.  We also took a lovely drive along the Saanich Peninsula, where there are tons of farms (with the BEST alpacas), roadside fruit and veggie stands, and…

Sunny Day in Victoria

Hi from my Mom’s house is beautiful sunny Victoria. (Dennis calls Victoria “Vic Diego” because it is sunnier here than in Vancouver)  Today’s photos include baby seagulls and ferry crossing pictures, and this afternoon, my Mom did some driving to see old cars that are in the city for the weekend, parasailers, paragliders, 7 freakin’…

I thought….

…summer was supposed to be easy and breezy.  So far, summer 2016 hasn’t been particularly easy, or breezy.  In the big scheme of life, I have NOTHING to complain about, but life has certainly got in the way of regular walks and photo postings.  Seems like things around us are breaking, falling apart and needing…

Get ready to…..

….AWW!!!  I had another visit with the tiny kittens today.  Apparently 3 of the 5 have opened their eyes now, and Mom and kittens are doing well.  Ready?  AWWWW!!!!! Aren’t they delightful??? Other pictures of the day, I walked by the bird pond, watered the garden and harvested our first romaine and beets.  There were…

Look at these little ones…..

I had to pop to the vet’s office after work for supplies for Neva (we have another week of meds…), and look what I saw!  Last week, someone found the pregnant mom and brought her to the vet (who works closely with adoption agencies).  Mom had 5 kittens last Sunday, so these little tinies are…

Calm, Farm and a river

I ran a few errands in Richmond today, which is about 30 minutes south of home.  I was looking for a specific farm that sells amazing produce and really reasonable prices, took a wrong turn and ended up by the Fraser River.  I stumbled on a lovely little park with old farming equipment, chickens and…

Photos from Saturday

My good friend and Costa Rica Roommate Laura came for a visit last night.  On our trip, I was so lucky to be matched with someone who has become a friend I’ll have for life.  But before today, there are just a few shots from yesterday after the rain and on our deck. Those are…

Another….

…sad day in the world.  Poor France, things are bad over there….and my heart breaks.  Makes today’s photos and stories really pale in significance.  That said, this was my world today, a walk down to our community garden, our first bean harvest, flowers, battling birds in the sky, dragonflies, and some shots from our board…
