Yesterday, Today…and what a day today was

We’ve had quite the day here in the land of lens3.  As some of you may have seen on Facebook, we got quite the alarm/scare from Neva last night.  Just when we thought we’d got the end of meds etc behind us, she had a burst/abscessed anal gland (you’re welcome).  She was at the vet for a while today, was sedated , cleaned up, and shaven all around the near vicinity of the sore.  AND…she’s back on antibiotics, painkillers and is sporting some jaunty tiger patterned tape on her tail. The unshaven end looks like a lion tail too. Very avant garde. (photos will follow when things settle down).  Poor little Neva…her front end may be pristine and pretty, her back end…well, just looks (and apparently feels) NASTY.   And she’s a little spaced out “as we speak” from the sedation.  BUT…this too shall pass.  That said, Universe?  Please stop with the string of inconveniences….enough.  You’ve tested our mettle over the last few weeks.  We’ve passed your test.  Please send some calm our way.   And maybe send a small lottery win to replenish to moola we’ve put out on car repairs, camera repairs, various costs incurred for all the “issues” and vet bills for Neva.   BUT, all that said, all fixable, all temporary, and we’re ok.  So today, I’m sharing photos from my lovely day with my mom yesterday, sunrises this morning, and those adorable kittens we saw while we were waiting for Neva to shake off her sedation at the vet tonight.  I hope you enjoy.  And now, I’m off to get a good night’s sleep….and face tomorrow with gratitude and hopes of brighter days ahead.  Happy Tuesday to all.

Sorry Neva is having “that” problem. We had to have one removed in our basset hound, only after many expressions, ultrasound, MRI and surgery. Don’t want to shock you with the total dollars spent on her! Plus, we “got” her in a divorce settlement just a year ago from our daughter; was her ex’s dog and didn’t want anymore!!!!!!! But, she’s a sweetie and glad she’s here. What beautiful pictures once again and see the figs are coming in. Our trees are finally starting to play out and have put up figs every which way …preserves, stewed, simply frozen for our smoothies, straight to the mouth. For those on the higher branches, the birds are having a field day. Hope things get better on your homefront soon. Have a great week, Roz.

Awww poor Neva, she hasn’t had much luck lately. Hope she feels better soon.

I am so glad I took pet insurance when we got Bella. Those 2 knee surgeries were very expensive and we got back around 75% of the bills we paid.
Is it possible to get pet insurance in Canada?

Beautiful photos. I love the little fairy house in the tree.

Poor Neva. Doesn’t it always seem like the end is in sight with bills and such and then — boom. More.
