This morning, I volunteered a few hours of time and did some event photography for Evergreen, the national non profit organization that connects people in urban settings to their natural environments within the city. They work in conjunction with municipalities and parks departments and provide education and volunteer opportunities for folks of all ages. Here are some of the photos I’ll be sending to Evergreen for their files and use. (photo waivers for all have been signed) The group of volunteers not only learned about various plants, insects and birds but worked in a large park to rid it of invasive plants that have taken over and are affecting the grown and ecological health of the area. I learned things I didn’t know and made some new friends along the way. Despite rain, it was a good morning. Enjoy!
