Right Place, Right Time….

Yesterday, I spent the day with a very good friend of mine.  We went out to Richmond/Steveston, about half an hour out of the city.  We did some Christmas Shopping and looking around….but on the way back, we hit the avian lottery.  We saw some of the snow geese that migrate here just for a few weeks a year flying overhead.  And they kept coming…..so we drove around a block to see where they were landing.  We found the field of choice, and got up close and VERY personal with these very very special birds.  It was truly a once in a lifetime sighting, and the photos below simply do justice to the size of the flock, the noise, and the perpetual action of these thousands of geese.  AMAZING!!!  (glad we experienced that together Suz!)
